We’re so happy you’re here.

On the 12th of November 2025, we got legally married in the UK. But Brazil—Hanna’s homeland—has always held a special place in our hearts, so we decided to celebrate our wedding with family and friends in beautiful Salvador, Bahia on the 15th of August 2026.

For many of you, this will be your first time in Brazil, and we want to make your trip as easy, stress-free, and enjoyable as possible. This website contains everything you need to plan, travel, and make the most of your time in beautiful Bahia.

The Venue: Casa Cloc sits on a slope facing the sea: the panoramic backdrop is the Bay of All Saints. From its balcony and veranda you have one of the most beautiful sunset views in Salvador. The venue occupies the building that once housed the old “Cloc Nightclub" in the 1970s. Today it has been renovated with a mix of old-school charm + modern comfort. Expect warm weather, ocean breeze, and a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. August is dry season in Salvador—warm, sunny days (23–25°C) and pleasant evenings.

Flights

The best ways to reach the city of Salvador (airport code: SSA) is via connections in:

-São Paulo (GRU)

-Rio de Janeiro (GIG)

-Lisbon (LIS – often the simplest European connection)

-Madrid (MAD)

Entry Requirements

-UK passport holders do not need a visa to enter Brazil.

-USA passport holders need a visa to enter Brazil.

-Passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

-We recommend travel insurance.

-No mandatory vaccines for entry.

At the Airport

Once you land in Salvador:

-Uber works well and is reliable.

-Official taxi desks are available inside the terminal.

-Travel time to the city: around 30–40 minutes, depending on your accommodation area.

-Once booked, let us know your flight information and we'll attempt to arrange pickups from a lovely group of Brazilian volunteers (Hanna's Family)

The venue Casa Cloc also has a residential side in the same building, with tons of Airbnbs available to book. We strongly recommend guests to book their stay in one of them from at least the 14th (Friday) until the 17th (Monday) of August 2026. It will be much more convenient to not have to get a taxi or Uber to return to your accommodation, instead you're just a few steps away from your room!

On the Monday after the wedding (the 17th), we are heading to Praia do Forte (1 hr drive from Salvador). It is a lovely little village, well known for it's beautiful beaches and sea life (sea turtles in particular!). We are going to have a few vans taking guests that plan to follow from Casa Cloc to Praia do Forte, so please let us know if we should book you in for it!

Dress Code: Elegant Summer / Formal Chic

Brazil is warm!

For Women, we recommend:

Long dresses

Lightweight fabrics

Heels (don't worry, as soon as the dancefloor opens, you'll receive a pair of Havaianas to enjoy the dancefloor and take home!)

For Men, we recommend:

Lightweight suits including suit trousers (i.e. linen)

Smart shoes

Ties are optional!

Colours: Please avoid White or Black, we would love to see you all looking colourful!
